We started Casbah in Santa Cruz years ago as a catering
company in the Santa Cruz area, providing health-oriented
foods to businesses and private parties. Shortly thereafter
we got involved as a vendor for various festivals in the Santa
Cruz and San Jose areas, and quickly became one of the favorite
vendors of those venues. After so many requests made by our
Los Gatos customers at various festivals, we decided to try
expanding our business into some of the Los Gatos venues.
The ingredients in our food are mostly organically grown,
low fat, and low cholesterol. We combine these with unique
spices and fresh onsite preparation to produce a very tasty
and exotic Mediterranean flavor. We offer falafel, dolmas,
hummas, tabouli, gyros, and chicken schwarma, served in pita
bread or on a plate in various combinations, all at a very
affordable price. We have participated in many Santa Cruz
and Santa Clara County festivals (Boulder Creek Art and Wine,
Santa Cruz Pride, SJ Jazz Festival, America Festival, San
Jose Pride, and also the summer-long "Music in the Park" series
in San Jose). Through these experiences, we are familiar with
all rules and regulations of the health and fire departments
in these counties, and we feel very comfortable about them.
